Saunaclubs Hamburg & Niedersachsen

More than 111 million daily visitors and over 9.5 million overnight stays per year show that the Hanseatic city is one of the most attractive travel destinations in the whole of Germany. This is not least due to Hamburg's beautiful city centre, the Binnenalster, the Speicherstadt, Hamburg harbour and St. Pauli with its Reeperbahn and landing stages. The historic landmark Michel, the fish market and Hamburg Cathedral are also popular attractions for visitors. But above all, Hamburg is also associated with musicals. As the world's most important location for musical and dance performances and, after New York and London, the third largest musical location in the world, internationally renowned plays such as The Lion King, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Dirty Dancing, Dance of the Vampires, Tarzan and Rocky are performed here. Hamburg has plenty of space for this in more than 60 theatres, more than 280 music publishers, more than 100 music clubs and more than 60 museums.

Aufgrund des Hamburger SV, kurz HSV, des FC St. Pauli, der Radrennen der Vattenfall Cyclassics und des jährlich stattfindenden Hamburg-Marathons gilt die Hafenstadt an der Alster auch als Sportstadt. Die internationalen deutschen Meisterschaften im Tennis und das deutsche Spring-Derby werden ebenfalls in Hamburg ausgetragen. Gott sei Dank lässt sich das Hamburger Platt für Laien nicht ganz so schwer verstehen. Von vielen Hamburgern wird der Dialekt nämlich immer noch gesprochen und in Literatur und Zeitungen benutzt. Es gibt allerdings glücklicherweise auch ein Hamburgisches Wörterbuch, auf das man zur Not zurückgreifen kann. Niedersachsen ist mit rund 47.600 qkm eines der großen Flächenländer in Deutschland. Es grenzt im Westen an die Niederlande, im Norden an die Nordsee und umschließt das Land Bremen; durch den Unterlauf der Elbe besteht eine natürliche Abgrenzung zu Schleswig-Holstein. Weitere benachbarte Bundesländer sind Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Thüringen, Hessen und Nordrhein-Westfalen. In Niedersachsen leben rund 7,8 Millionen Menschen, davon circa 520.000 in der Landeshauptstadt Hannover. In the Hanover area, High German is spoken that is largely free of dialects, which is why this area is regarded as the linguistic area with the clearest German, even if linguists have unmasked this myth as untrue. Hanover is known as an important trade fair and congress centre, headquarters of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, several universities, the automotive supplier Continental AG and the travel group TUI AG, the Herrenhauser Gärten and as a prominent traffic junction with one of the most important and largest railway stations in Germany. Other major cities in Lower Saxony are Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Osnabrück, Oldenburg, Göttingen and Salzgitter. Industrial centres are mainly located in the Hanover-Braunschweig- Wolfsburg area, with the Volkswagen Group's automobile plants in Wolfsburg being of particular importance. Another relevant sector is the energy industry, particularly in the wind energy sector. In addition, Lower Saxony is Germany's largest military location.

Ein besonders wichtiger Wirtschaftszweig ist in Niedersachsen die Landwirtschaft, sowohl im Bereich der Viehzucht als auch im Obst- und Gemüseanbau und des in der Wertschöpfung vor- und nachgelagerten Agribusiness. Rund drei Viertel der Landesfläche gehören zur Norddeutschen Tiefebene mit dementsprechend ausgedehnten Acker-, Weide- und Forstlandschaften. Trotzdem findet man in Niedersachsen eine Vielfalt an Naturräumen und unterschiedlichen Landstrichen, so zum Beispiel die Küstenregion Ostfriesland, das Emsland, das Oldenburger Münsterland, die Lüneburger Heide, das Osnabrücker Land, das Ammerland, das Weserbergland sowie das Harzgebirge, in dem sich mit sage und schreibe 971m über NN der Wurmberg als Niedersachsens höchster Berg erhebt. In Niedersachsen findet man viele kleinere Städte mit wundervoll erhaltenen oder restaurierten Altstadtkernen und den charakteristischen Fachwerkhäusern, so zum Beispiel in Celle, Goslar, Hildesheim, Hannoversch-Münden oder Hameln. Durch Hameln führt in seiner Eigenschaft als Rattenfängerstadt auch die Deutsche Märchenstraße, die als Ferienstraße Lebensstationen der Brüder Grimm sowie wichtige Orte und Landschaften aus ihren Märchen aneinanderreiht. Around three quarters of the land area belongs to the North German Plain with its correspondingly extensive arable, pasture and forestry landscapes. Nevertheless, there is a variety of natural areas and different regions in Lower Saxony, such as the coastal region East Friesland, the Emsland, the Oldenburg Münsterland, the Lüneburger Heide (Luneburg Heath), the Osnabrücker Land, the Ammerland, the Weserbergland (Weser Hills) as well as the Harzgebirge low mountain range, in which the Wurmberg rises 971m above sea level as Lower Saxony's highest mountain. In Lower Saxony you will find many smaller towns with wonderfully preserved or restored old town centres and the characteristic half-timbered houses, for example in Celle, Goslar, Hildesheim, Hannoversch-Münden or Hameln. In its capacity as a pied piper town, Hameln is also crossed by the German Fairy Tale Route, which is a holiday route that links the life stations of the Brothers Grimm as well as important places and landscapes from their fairy tales.
