The Club Relax is located in Neukloster on the northern edge of the town centre.
Neukloster is a town in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. Although the town belongs to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it is already part of the Hamburg metropolitan region. Neukloster is about 150 kilometres from Hamburg, 45 kilometres from Rostock and about 20 kilometres from Wismar.
In the 13th century the monastery that gave Neukloster its name was built there. The territorial rulers at that time were the Princes of Mecklenburg. From 1648 to 1803 Sweden ruled over Neukloster and Wismar; with the Malmö Pledge Treaty, Neukloster passed to the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1803. Neukloster was not granted town status until 1938. Today the districts of Neuhof, Nevern, Ravensruh, Sellin and Rügkamp belong to Neukloster.
Western Mecklenburg is characterised by the hilly moraine landscape of the Baltic Uplands, interspersed with inland lakes formed during the Weichselian glaciation. Larger lakes such as the Neuklostersee, the Großer Wariner See and the Groß Labenzer See are found in the Sternberg Lake District in the eastern part of the district. To the west, the district borders the Schaalsee. Within this landscape, Neukloster has a village-like structure; nevertheless, the town has two industrial and commercial areas.
Neukloster can be reached by car via the A20 motorway; for public transport, one arrives via the Neukloster ZOB bus station. The nearest railway station is located in Blankenberg, about 15 kilometres further south.
