The Saunaclub Alf Paradise is located in Alfhausen-Nord.
Alfhausen belongs to the so-called Samtgemeinde Bersenbrück in the Landkreis Osnabrück. The village has been known for over 1000 years, but has kept its village character right up to the present day. The nearest larger towns are Bersenbrück to the north and Bramsche to the south. From Alfhausen to Osnabrück it's about 27 km as the crow flies, to Wallenhorst about 18 km. Since 1 February 1971, the municipality of Alfhausen has consisted of the districts Alfhausen, Heeke, Thiene and Wallen.
Alfhausen can be reached directly by car only via the Bundesstraße 68, which runs from Bersenbrück to Bramsche. The nearest motorway junction, Neuenkirchen-Vörden, is on the A1 and lies about 10 km further east. The train station in Alfhausen was shut down a few years ago; the nearest stations are Bersenbrück, Riespe, Bramsche-Hesepe and Bramsche.
The Alfhausen-Rieste flood retention basin on the eastern edge of the municipal area – better known as the Alfsee – is popular as a holiday park, bird sanctuary and angler's paradise. Among other things, it features holiday homes, several campsites, a youth hostel and the Ringhotel Alfsee Piazza; plus waterskiing facilities and a lido, as well as the Archehof Arche Alfsee, which is home to endangered old breeds of domestic animals.
