The Club Evolet is located in Lüdinghausen on the west side of the train station.
Lüdinghausen has been known as a settlement for more than a thousand years. It originally belonged to the Lords of Lüdinghausen-Wolff and was granted town rights in 1309. In 1443 Lüdinghausen came under the Prince-Bishopric of Münster, and around 60 years later under the Cathedral Chapter of Münster. In 1832 the town centre was completely destroyed by fire. In its present municipal form, the town has existed since 1 January 1975 and includes the area of the former municipality of Lüdinghausen-Land, dissolved in 1969, as well as the former municipality of Seppenrade.
The town lies southwest of Münster in the Coesfeld district and is about 28 km as the crow flies from Dortmund. The Dortmund-Ems-Kanal federal waterway runs through the western part of the town. The nearest motorway access points are Ascheberg on the A1 to the east and Dülmen-Nord on the A43 to the northwest, each about 13 km away as the crow flies. On the Dortmund–Enschede railway line, Lüdinghausen station serves as a stop.
Lüdinghausen doesn't offer a great variety of sights, but its town area is home to no fewer than three wildly romantic moated castles: Burg Lüdinghausen, Burg Kakesbeck and Burg Vischering. A fourth former moated castle, Burg Wolfsberg, survives only as a truncated ruin.
The most important companies in Lüdinghausen are Metall Design Manufaktur Polenz, a Maggi factory of Nestlé Deutschland AG, the Kleffmann Group and the mail-order company Askari Sport.
