Apart from the ambiguous club name, there is nothing to suggest that you are in a brothel at the Wellcum: Anyone who comes to this club by the lobby thinks he is in a modern spa hotel of the upscale category rather than an establishment of amusement, and so it is not surprising that one can check in here like a hotel guest and occupy one of the 24 rooms that belong to the building complex. Nestled in the Carinthian mountain landscape,
the Wellcum, a new sauna club bolide, opened its doors here in Hohenthurn not far from Villach in 2013, offering all the possibilities for a perfect club stay on a total resort of 7000 sqm: recreation on the highest level is the motto with jacuzzi, various saunas and spacious relaxation zones, cosmetic studio, massage salon, large garden area including heated outdoor pool and culinary delights in the club's own restaurant. In the
evening, the huge lounge transforms into a trendy disco with table dance and breathtaking dance and live shows. The Wellcum is an important competitor for the Carinthian top dog among the sauna clubs - the --> FKK Andiamo -, which of course represents an interesting alternative especially for guests from Italy due to its geographical location. The Wellcum Club near Villach is located northwest of Arnoldstein on the left bank of the Gailitz just before it flows into the Gail.
In Roman times there was already a place called Santicum in today's Villach, the largest city in Carinthia after Klagenfurt, and later Slavs settled here. From 740 A.D. Villach came under Bavarian sovereignty, from 1007 to 1759 the town was the property of the Bamberg monastery. Villach only came into Austrian possession in 1759, when Empress Maria Theresa bought all Bamberg properties in Carinthia for Austria. Villach is still twinned with the city of Bamberg today.
The tranquil city at the confluence of the Gail and Drau rivers has a pretty old town, and it makes you want to stroll through the quarter between the main square, Pranger and Lederergasse and enjoy the already noticeable Mediterranean flair of the city. With its location at the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, Villach has always been characterised by its sympathetic cultural diversity and is therefore also an important traffic junction in the Alps-Adriatic region, especially in railway traffic.
Villach is a particularly attractive place from a tourist point of view. The town is embedded in the magnificent Carinthian mountains with views of the Dobratsch Nature Park, the Karawanks and the Carnic Alps; at the same time, with its location in the Klagenfurt basin, it is surrounded by numerous idyllic lakes such as Lake Ossiach, Lake Faak and Lake Wörth. The region is a hiking, leisure and recreational paradise in summer as well as a skiing area in winter.
