The Club 69 near Gießen is located in Alten-Buseck.
In its early days in the 9th century, Alten-Buseck belonged to the Franconian Lahngau and in the 16th century became territory of the Landgraviates of Hessen and Hessen-Marburg and Hessen-Darmstadt respectively. From 1806-1918 it was part of the Grand Duchy of Hessen. In Alten-Buseck there are three former castles within the town: the Zaunburg, the Hofburg and the Brandsburg. The castles were owned by the von Buseck family. On 1 January 1977, the previously independent municipality of Alten-Buseck merged with the municipalities of Beuern and Großen-Buseck to form the new municipality of Buseck.
Alten-Buseck is located about 10 km northeast of Gießen and can be reached from there by bus using public transport. From the neighbouring municipality of Großen-Buseck, which is located about 3 km further southeast and has its own train station, Alten-Buseck can likewise be reached by bus. Further east lies the Vogelsberg low mountain range with the Hoher Vogelsberg Nature Park, considered the largest contiguous basalt massif in Europe.
