The club FKK Andiamo is located in Villach-St. Agathen/Perau.
In Roman times, in what is now Villach, the second-largest city in Carinthia after Klagenfurt, there was already a settlement called Santicum, later Slavs settled here. From 740 AD Villach came under Bavarian rule, from 1007 to 1759 the city was the property of the Prince-Bishopric of Bamberg. Villach only came into Austrian possession in 1759, when Empress Maria Theresia bought up all of Bamberg's holdings in Carinthia for Austria. Villach and the city of Bamberg are today linked by a town twinning partnership.
The tranquil city at the confluence of the Gail and the Drau has a pretty old town, where between Hauptplatz, Pranger and Lederergasse it's a pleasure to stroll through the quarter and enjoy the city's already noticeably Mediterranean flair. With its location at the tri-border point of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, Villach has long been shaped by a congenial cultural diversity, and accordingly is also a major transport hub in the Alps-Adriatic region, particularly for rail traffic.
Villach is a charming place, especially from a touristic point of view. The city is nestled into the magnificent Carinthian mountain world with views of the Dobratsch nature park, the Karawanken and the Carnic Alps; at the same time, with its location in the Klagenfurt basin, it is surrounded by numerous idyllic lakes such as the Ossiacher See, the Faaker See and the Wörther See. The region is equally appealing summer and winter alike, as a paradise for hiking, leisure and wellness, as well as a ski area.
