The club FKK Finca Erotica is located in Dierdorf, southwest of the town centre.
Dierdorf is a town in the district of Neuwied and lies in the Vorderer Westerwald in the so-called Dierdorfer Senke at 240 m above sea level. The town is thus set in a largely natural environment and is an officially recognised holiday resort.
The settlement has been known for 800 years with reference to an old parish called Dyrdorph and for centuries belonged mostly to the Counts of Wied-Runkel and Isenburg. Dierdorf was first granted town rights in 1357, which were renewed in 1957 after 600 years. In 1815, like so many towns, it fell to Prussia through the treaties of the Congress of Vienna.
Dierdorf once had a residential castle of the Princes of Wied-Runkel, completed in 1725. It was closed in 1902 due to structural decay, and its stones were used to build a Protestant church. During the Reformation, the so-called Heidelberg Catechism was introduced in Dierdorf; the town has been predominantly Protestant ever since. The castle park still survives in Dierdorf today and now serves as a leisure resort.
Of the former town fortifications, the two roughly 25-metre-high defence towers, the Eulenturm and the Uhrturm, along with part of the town wall, have been preserved. In the neo-Gothic burial chapel of the mausoleum, laid out in the castle park in 1816, lies the burial site of the former princely house of Wied-Runkel.
Dierdorf lies roughly halfway between Cologne and Frankfurt and is easily reached via the A3 motorway, which runs about 8 km west of the town. The town has had a railway station that has been out of service since 1984 and was sold to a private company; as a result, the town can only be reached by public transport via sporadically running buses. The nearest larger town with a rail connection is Neuwied am Rhein.
