What to expect at Eden Diessenhofen (CH)

In the village of Diessenhofen, right on the southern bank of the Hochrhein and thus directly on the border between Switzerland and Germany, lies the Saunaclub Giovana. It's a small, family-run operation with a relaxed atmosphere and simple furnishings, whose rooms are spread over three floors in a compact house. The lounge is a small, rustic living-room-style space with TV and bar, where the girls sit relaxed on the sofas; the best approach is simply to sit down with them to strike up a conversation, especially since there aren't many alternatives anyway. Right next to this lounge is the house kitchen, where meals are cooked for the 5-10 club girls. On the upper floors there are a few rooms, a sauna and a whirlpool. The establishment has been around for decades and has been under new management since 2015. Update: Since September 2022 the club is called Eden Saunaclub.

The Club Eden is located in Diessenhofen.

Diessenhofen is a small town in the district of Frauenfeld on the southern bank of the High Rhine. On the northern side of the Rhine you are already standing on German soil, and the town is connected to the German village of Gallingen by a wooden-roofed bridge over the Rhine. Since its first construction in the 13th century, the bridge has always played a major role as an economic lifeline for Diessenhofen.

The town lies at 307 m above sea level and has preserved a medieval appearance. It originally belonged to the Abbey of St. Gallen and was granted town status by the Kyburgs in 1178. During the era of the Helvetic Republic, the district of Diessenhofen was assigned to the canton of Schaffhausen in 1798, before the district became part of the canton of Thurgau in 1800.

Worth seeing are Unterhof Castle from the 12th century, near the landing stage of the URh shipping company, as well as Diessenhofen's landmark, the Siegelturm with its moon clock.

Diessenhofen is located about 10 km east of the city of Schaffhausen and 50 km northeast of the city of Zurich.
