Sauna Clubs Hessen

One of the most populated and economically strongest regions of the sixteen federal states in Germany is the federal state of Hesse with its approximately 6 million inhabitants on 21,115 km². Bordering North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, it lies almost in the middle of Germany and until 2013 the geographical centre of the European Union was Gelnhausen in the Main-Kinzig district. Hessen is the golden heart of Germany and the federal state also has a lot to offer: Characterized by low mountain ranges up to 950 metres high, the north of Hessen is even part of the German low mountain range threshold. This includes the southern highlands, the Taunus, the Westerwald low mountain range, the Giessen-Koblenz Lahn Valley and the Middle Rhine region, the West and East Hessian Highlands, the Lower Saxony Highlands and the Upper Rhine Lowlands. Hessen is rightly regarded as one of the most densely wooded federal states in Germany. A total of 42 percent of the state is covered by forests.

Doch Hessens Landschaft wird nicht nur durch die zahlreichen Wälder als sehr idyllisch beschrieben. Die vielen Flüssen wie Rhein, Main, Lahn, Weser und Neckar, um nur einige zu nennen, tragen dazu ebenfalls bei. Hessen, durchzogen von Wald und Wasser, besitzt jedoch auch Regionen, in denen durch Urbanisierung eine größere Bevölkerungsdichte herrscht. Vor allem in Mittelhessen in Gießen, Marburg und Wetzlar, aber auch in Kassel und Fulda. Dies mag teilweise auch an der regen Zuwanderung liegen, die Hessen durch seine zentrale Lage zuteil wurde. Trotz vielen Grünflächen wird also auch ausreichend Platz zum Leben geboten. Unter anderem durch die Banken- und Versicherungsmetropole Frankfurt am Main besitzt Hessen, genauer gesagt das Rhein-Main-Gebiet, nach dem Ruhrgebiet die größte Industriedichte in ganz Deutschland. Frankfurt gilt als wichtiges internationales Finanzzentrum und ist Sitz der größten deutschen Börse und vieler Banken und Versicherungen. Als Standort für Unternehmen eklatant wichtig ist darüber hinaus der Frankfurter Flughafen. Und sportlich geht es hier auch zu! Besonders erfolgreich ist Hessen im Handball, Wasserball und Volleyball. Der wohl am bekanntesten Sportverein ist allerdings unangefochten Eintracht Frankfurt. Langweilig wird es im wohl grünsten aller Bundesländer Hessen also nie. But Hessen's landscape is not only described as very idyllic by the numerous forests. The many rivers like the Rhine, Main, Lahn, Weser and Neckar, to name but a few, also contribute to this. Hessen, crossed by forests and water, also has regions in which urbanisation has increased population density. Especially in central Hessen in Gießen, Marburg and Wetzlar, but also in Kassel and Fulda. This may also be partly attributable to the high level of immigration that Hessen received due to its central location. In spite of many green spaces, there is also enough space to enjoy life. Among other things by the bank and insurance metropolis Frankfurt am Main Hessen, or more precisely the Rhine-Main region, has the highest industrial density in the whole of Germany after the Ruhr region. Frankfurt is regarded as an important international financial centre and is home to the largest German stock exchange and many banks and insurance companies. Frankfurt Airport is also a strikingly important location for companies. And it's sporty here too! Hessen is particularly successful in handball, water polo and volleyball. However, the most famous sports club is Eintracht Frankfurt. So it never gets boring in Hessen, probably the greenest of all the federal states.
